Overview

This article explains the difference between serviceable and non-serviceable products in your order form, and how to designate a product as a serviceable product in your account.

What’s the Difference Between Serviceable and Non-Serviceable Products?

Serviceable Products

These services require an appointment to be scheduled on site at the property.

  • Examples include:

    • Photography

    • Videography

    • Aerial Drone

  • Marking a product as serviceable allows you to:

    • Set a time duration for the service on-site at the appointment.

    • Enable scheduling options, like designating Twilight products

Non-Serviceable Products

These services do not require an appointment on site at the property.

  • Examples include:

    • Virtual staging

    • Virtual Twilight

    • Floor plan redraws

Since no appointment is needed on-site at the property, these products won't affect your appointment time durations.

How to Designate Serviceable Products

  1. Go to your Products page.

  2. Select Edit on an existing product, or click Add Product.

  3. Click on the section Pricing Details & Serviceable Details.

  4. Check the box next to Serviceable Product.

  5. Click Update Product Serviceable Details to save.

FAQs

Q: Can a product be both serviceable and non-serviceable?

A: No, each product must be classified as one or the other. However, you can create two separate products if needed—one that is serviceable and one that is not.

Q: What happens if I forget to mark a product as serviceable?

A: It will be treated as non-serviceable, meaning no time will be reserved on your calendar and clients won’t be prompted to book an appointment when they order this product via your order form.

Q: Can I change a product’s status after it's been created?

A: Yes! You can edit the product at any time to update its serviceable status.
