Overview
This article explains how both photographers and clients can postpone appointments in Aryeo. You’ll learn how to use this feature from the calendar, the order edit page, and the customer portal, as well as how to enable it for your clients.
Postpone from Listing Page
Navigate to the listing that contains the appointment needing to be postponed.
Scroll down to the Appointment section and click to expand the appointment.
Select Postpone, review the confirmation pop-up, and confirm your notification preferences.
The appointment will be marked as unscheduled, and the preferred time will be listed as “as soon as possible”.
Postpone from Calendar View
Navigate to the Aryeo Calendar page.
Click on the scheduled appointment you would like to postpone.
Scroll down to the bottom of the appointment modal and select the Postpone button.
Review the confirmation pop up (displayed in step 3 above), confirm notification preferences, and select Postpone appointment to finalize the change.
The appointment will now be marked as unscheduled within the Listing page.
Enable Postponements for Customers
To give your customers the ability to postpone their own appointments:
Navigate to Availability > Appointment Settings.
In the Postpone section, click the checkbox to Allow Customers to Postpone Appointments
Set the Postpone Period to define how close to the appointment time customers can postpone their own appointments.
Click Update Postponement Settings to save the changes.
How Customers Can Postpone Appointments
After logging into the Customer Portal, the customer will navigate to the Listing associated with the appointment they are wanting to postpone.
Scroll down to the Appointment section and click to expand the appointment.
After clicking the Postpone button, a notice will appear informing the customer that should they wish to proceed, it will need to be rescheduled by an admin member of your team.
FAQ
Q: What happens when an appointment is postponed?
A: The appointment becomes “unscheduled,” and the previous time is stored and shown in the order details. A notification is also sent to the relevant parties.
Q: Can agents reschedule postponed appointments?
A: Yes. As long as postponement settings have been set within Availability Settings, agents will be able to postpone their own scheduled appointments within their customer portal.
Q: Can I turn off notifications when postponing?
A: Yes, when you click “Postpone,” you’ll have the option to send or disable the notification to the customer.
