How to Add a Custom Domain - Bluehost

Overview

This article walks you through how to set up a CNAME record in your Bluehost account to point your chosen subdomain (e.g., listings.yourdomain.com) to Aryeo. This allows your property websites, customer portal, and order forms to appear under your custom domain.

Before you begin: Make sure you've followed the steps in the Custom Company Domain setup article to add your domain inside your Aryeo account.


Add a CNAME record through Bluehost

Once you have logged in to your Bluehost cPanel account, follow the steps below:

  1. Click the Domains tab.

    1. For Legacy Accounts, the Domains option will appear in the sub-menu at the top of the screen.

    2. Bluerock Account users will see the Domains tab on the left-hand side menu.Click the Zone Editor from the sub-menu.

  2. Once you have accessed the DNS Zone Editor these steps will explain how to add a new record.

  3. Scroll down to the heading named Add DNS Record. Complete the following fields:

    1. Host Record: Any word you want! Some common examples are "app", "listings", or "properties"

    2. TTL: Leave as is, default is β€œ14400”

    3. Type: CNAME

  4. Click on the Add Record button to create the record.

  5. Once you have finished adding a CNAME record for your subdomain, finish Step 4 in the Custom Company Domain setup article here.
