Filter products by square footage, price, and more on your order forms

Overview

This article will show you how to create and customize Product Filters to allow your customers to view products based on square footage, price, and more on your orders form to streamline the ordering process.


How to Create a Product Filter

  1. Navigate to the Products page, under Storefront in the left-hand side menu.

  2. Click on Product Filters.

  3. Click New Product Filter.

  1. Enter a name for the filter.

    • For example: Square Footage (Sq. ft.)

  2. Choose the filter type:

    1. Number: For numerical values, like square footage.

    2. Price: For monetary values.

  3. Add a description to explain the purpose of the filter.

  4. Click Create Product Filter to save.


How to Create a Product with Filters

You can set up filters when you create new main products and add-ons.

  1. Navigate to the Products page, under Storefront in the left-hand side menu

  2. Click on the New Product button.

  3. Scroll down to the Item Type section.

  4. Check the box next to the label “Is this product filterable?”

  5. Select the product filter you want to use from the dropdown.

  6. Enter the product details, pricing, time duration, and the minimum and maximum values for the filter.

    1. Click Create Variant to add as many variants as you need.

    2. For example: Create a variant with a minimum of 0 sq. ft. and a maximum of 1000 sq. ft., name it “Up to 1000 sq. ft.”, and set the corresponding price and time duration.

  7. Click Create Product to save


How to Enable Product Filters in Your Order Form

  1. Go to the Order Forms section.

  2. Click on Edit next to the order form you'd like to enable.

  3. Scroll down to the Product Filters section.

  4. Select the appropriate product filter(s) you want displayed in the order form.

  5. Click Update Product Filters to save.


Product Filter FAQs

Q: Can I apply multiple filters to the same order form?

A: Yes, you can apply several filters to an order form.

Q: Can I change and make a product filterable after it’s been created?

A: No, if you did not originally check the box for “Is this product filterable?” when you first created the product, you cannot add this setting later. You will need to create a brand new product and check the box to make the product filterable.
