Overview
This article will guide you through adding custom questions (also called custom fields) to your Aryeo order forms in Step 1: Address and/or Step 3: Scheduling.
Using these custom fields you can collect specific information from clients on your order forms, such as vacancy status, property access instructions, gate codes, special requests, etc.
Step-by-Step: Add a Custom Question
Go to Order Forms from the left-hand side menu.
Click Edit next to the order form you'd like to customize.
Launch the Order Form Designer
Scroll down to the Designer section
Click Launch Designer.
Using the left-hand menu, click on Step 1: Address Details and/or Step 3: Scheduling. Custom fields can only be added to the Step 1: Address Details and Step 3: Scheduling sections.
Click View Custom Fields.
Click Add a Field.
Select the field type that works best for your question:
Text
Text Area
Dropdown
Checkboxes
Radios
Fill in the Field Title with your question, and add any optional instructions to the Field Description.
Fill in any applicable Options with possible answers your clients can choose.
Toggle Required if you want to make the question mandatory.
Click Save when done.
Common Questions to Add to Order Forms
Here are some examples of frequently used custom questions:
How will the photographer access the property? (e.g., lock box code, SUPRA, access notes)
Who Will Be Present? (e.g., agent, homeowner, tenant)
Finished Basement? (yes/no)
Neighborhood or Community Requests?
Any Special Notes for the Photographer? (special requests, special features of the home, anything else we should know?)
Example Scenario: Create a checkbox field to ask: "Want photos of these additional areas?" with options like "Utility Room" or "Attached Garage".
FAQ
Q: Can I add custom fields to every step?
A: Currently, custom fields are supported in Step 1 and Step 3 of the order form.
Q: Can I edit or remove custom fields later?
A: Yes, return to the Designer, go to View Custom Fields, and click on the field to edit or delete it.
Q: Are custom fields shown to clients on every order form?
A: No, only on the specific order form where you add them. Each order form can be uniquely customized.
