Overview
Apple and Google both require you to submit your company's DUNS number (Provided for free by Dun & Bradstreet) to validate your business for your developer accounts. You will not be able to finish your mobile app if you do not have a DUNS number for your company. To find your company's DUNS number you will need:
Your Legal Business Name (not your DBA)
The state/province in which you are registered
Then follow the steps below:

For Companies based in the United States:
Start Here on the Dun & Bradstreet website.
Search For: "My Company"
Enter required information:
Legal Business Name
State in which your business is registered
Click "Search"
If you do not see your company in the search results, see our FAQ section below.
Scroll down through the results until you find your company.
On the right hand side, click “Email D-U-N-S Number” and fill out the form.
Click “Submit”
Once you've completed the form, Dun and Bradstreet will email you your DUNS Number.
For Companies based outside of the United States:
Start Here on the Dun & Bradstreet website.
Since the steps for this process differ by country, please follow the instructions located on Dun & Bradstreet's website.
Once you've completed the form and the instructions, Dun & Bradstreet will email you your DUNS number.

FAQ
Q: I can’t find my DUNS Number, what do I do?
If you cannot find your DUNS Number while completing the above steps, there are two possibilities:
First you could be searching incorrectly for your number. Make sure your Company Name is spelled correctly and try to search for it using only a part of the name. For example , if I think that my company name is Aryeo Real Estate Software Solutions, I should try to search for only Aryeo to maximize my chances of finding my number.
Ensure you are searching for you legal business name and not your DBA or a previous company name. Sometimes photography company’s will have a legal business name like “Cool Photo Company” but do business as (DBA) “Happy Snaps Photo”. In this case, the DUNS Number would be found by searching for “Cool Photo Company”.
Second you may not currently have a DUNS Number. That is ok! DUNS Numbers are free; all you must do is fill out this form to request a DUNS Number.
Please ensure that you are not a sole proprietor. While sole proprietors can get DUNS Numbers, they can only get individual and not organizational DUNS Numbers. To qualify for a Custom Mobile App, you must have an organizational DUNS Number.
Once you have submitted the above form, you will receive your DUNS Number in 30 business days. You can pay extra to get it sooner, but we recommend that you use the free method.
Q: My DUNS Number has an old address attached to it. Do I need to update it?
Yes, this is often the case. Dun & Bradstreet’s records are not always the most up to date. It’s quite likely that the address associated with your Company DUNS Number is out dated. You can proceed with updating that information if you would like.
Simply follow these instructions to update your Company DUNS Number. Please note, it is not always required to update your address.
